Wanna know what I wish my first business coach had told me that would’ve changed the trajectory of my business growth in huge ways from the start?
Get your systems documented from day one.
It’s the secret big businesses already know. It’s what makes their business valuable, even exit-able later on. It’s what attracts investors. If you don’t have documented, repeatable systems, they aren’t interested.
This was a smack in the face (in a good way) for me when I spoke to a wealth advisor for millionaires and billionaires about what my business goals were recently.
“You can stay where you are and serve in this capacity for a long time. Or you can go for a business that you can sell and exit profitably from when you’re ready to retire.”
Door number two, please.
But the little guys don’t often get the practical information we need. We’re so worried about making a sale that we pour our time, energy, effort, and money into selling our amazing stuff without documenting anything. We’re doing absolutely everything (every task) in our business. We’ve created a job for ourselves, not a business. And that job has 24-7 hours. It’s a recipe for burnout, no matter how passionate or motivated you are.
At least, that’s my story.
Until I learned what I know now and started building a business with documented systems so I could actually take some time to be with my family and schedule that well-deserved vacation.

Documenting your systems is a cure for worry, anxiety, and doubt. It’s a solution to freedom. It’s how you achieve this freedom and relief and maintain it as you grow and serve your amazing people.
